Raising Awareness in Support of Pregnant Smokers
Nov 01, 2011
As part of the 7th National Conference on Tobacco or Health, two CCBR researchers, Joanna Ochocka and Rich Janzen, along with partners from Echo Improving Women's Health in Ontario, will present a multi-level workshop in Toronto on November 1, 2011.
This pre-conference workshop, called, "Reflecting Women's Voices in the Development of Smoking Cessation Programs for Pregnant and Recently Pregnant Women", will use a theatre performance and then a facilitation method to support women to design their own evidence-based smoking cessation program. This workshop is part of a project that CCBR is working on with Echo on tobacco and maternal health. The project's leadership team includes Joanna, Rich, and Jennifer Walker from CCBR, along with staff from Echo.
