Community-based research training in Newfoundland
Mar 31, 2012
Executive Director Joanna Ochocka and Research Director Rich Janzen traveled to Newfoundland for four days of building understanding in community-based research and planning support for CUExpo 2013. Beginning their province-wide journey in Corner Brook, site of next year's CUExpo, Joanna and Rich met with academic and community partners in training practicums that were webcast to multiple sites across the province. Heading further east to Clarenville, they provided individual coaching and mentoring on developing community-based research on homelessness and housing. On their final day, Rich and Joanna presented to provincial government officials in North America's most easterly city, St. John's.
