CCBR to host Indonesian delegation visiting Canada

Oct 15, 2014

This month an Indonesian delegation of professors will be visiting CCBR to learn about community-based research (CBR). They will also visit Renison University College, Conrad Grebel University College, WLU's Centre for Community Research, Learning & Action (CCRLA) and Social Innovation Research Group (SIRG) and the Manulife Centre for Community Health Research (MCCHR) and to the Kitchener-Waterloo Multicultural Centre.

In June 2013, CCBR hosted a visit with 15 Indonesian delegates; for more information about this visit, please see our testimonials page.

CCBR was also contracted by the Supporting Islamic Leadership in Indonesia (SILE) project to provide intensive training on community-based research (CBR) in three Indonesian cities - Surubaya, Makassar, and Jakarta. In August 2014, Dr. Joanna Ochocka, Executive Director at CCBR, provided training at two universities: UIN Sunan Ampel Surabaya and at UIN Alauddin Makassar as well as a session with government officials. In addition to training, she offered guest lectures and consultations.
