A One Day Event Highlighting Exciting Initiatives in Waterloo Region

Social Innovation and Community Change

Monday, December 8, 2008 9am-4:30pm at CIGI in Waterloo

Sponsored by the Centre for Community Based Research, Social Innovation Generation at the University of Waterloo, and Waterloo Region, this event will feature displays, panel discussions, and dialogue about how we can enhance social innovation and community change in Waterloo Region. Hear about research-inspired innovations from Waterloo Region and talk with leaders from outside the Region who will reflect with us about our community change work.

Four themes will guide the day:

  • Passion and vision

  • Partnerships and collaboration

  • Places and spaces

  • Impact and sustainability

This promises to be an exciting one day event with important implications for future conversations and action related to social innovation and community change.
