Welcome New Intern Student, Hayley Clin to CCBR!

This September Hayley Clin joins the Centre for Community Based Research as a new student to gain the practical skills and experience needed to engage in research that is impactful, equitable, and rooted in community.

Hayley is a graduate student completing her Master of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University. Her work experience is primarily in housing services and child welfare, but her current interests are in the areas of eco-social work and community advocacy. Prior to entering social work, Hayley took courses in environmental studies and geography, and she hopes to bring this knowledge into her future practice. She is passionate about research, policy, and social justice – particularly affordable housing, environmental inequity, and accessibility in post-secondary education.

Hayley lives in Brantford with her partner and Australian Cattle Dog, Sadie. She spends her free time writing fiction and poetry, playing TTRPGs, crafting, painting, and reading.
